DirecTV / COM421 SETUP

TV CEC Control - Samsung

  1. Turn on CEC control
  2. Disable Smart, Power and Eco Features
  3. Disable Source Input Plus, HDMI Plus, etc, if Present
  4. Enter Hospitality Mode:  Mute-1-1-9-OK-OK (press OK Twice)
  5. Hospitality Menu Should Now Display
  6. SET Hospitality Mode to ON
  7. Set power on to HDMI 1 (or input being used for default)
  8. Turn STB OFF
  9. Turning Hospitality Mode on will set Power Off to every 4 hours
    make sure you go into regular settings and turn this OFF

Enable CEC control on STB-6500

  1. Enter Installer Menu with LG remote
  2.  Press Menu/Setting repeatedly until menu stops responding 
  3. Press 9-8-7-6-EXIT 
  4.  Press Up Arrow > Press Down Arrow (Data Channel 119 should show)
  5. Press 2-5-3-Menu/Setting
  6. Select General > Display
  7. Set CEC to Power On / Off Only
  8. Press EXIT on REMOTE control to leave Installer Menu

Other Settings

Use MAC address IP reservations in your router
Set all IPs in Router to Static IP  leave devices set to DHCP

RESCANNING MATRIX FOR MISSING DTV CHANNELS
This has to be done now and then because DTV changes Channel lineups

  1. Exit app if open
  2. Log in as ADMIN password 4321
  3. Press "Home" button at bottom Left corner
  4. Click on Wrench and Hammer tools to open settings
  5. Press "Matrix Settings" along bottom row
  6. Press "Scan Matrix" at the top of the column on the left
  7. EXIT admin Mode - IMPORTANT - Exit App
  8. Enter 1234 Passcode
  9.  You TVs will be displaying an Information Page
  10. Just reroute DTV tuners to TVs to set back to Full Screen
